Mirror duality between fractional complete intersection Calabi--Yau spaces

Abstract: Recently, Hosono, Lian, Takagi, and Yau investigated the family of K3 surfaces arising from double covers branched along six lines in \(\mathbb{P}^{2}\) and proposed a singular version of mirror symmetry. In this talk, I will give a construction of mirror pairs of certain singular Calabi--Yau varieties. We will discuss the topological test as well as the quantum test on these singular Calabi--Yau pairs. The talk is based on the joint works with Shinobu Hosono, Bong H. Lian and S.-T. Yau.
